Our client operates in building technology and supports private as well as professional builders from consultation and planning through execution to service and maintenance. The versatile range of services includes heating, sanitation, plumbing, solar systems, ventilation and lightning protection.

For the heating sector we are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial-minded individual to take over a well-established department with a cohesive team of eight employees. You will have the opportunity to lead your area largely independently and to develop it purposefully. Therefore, we are not simply looking for a project manager, but a personality who combines technical expertise, organisational talent, customer orientation and enjoyment of entrepreneurial action.

More than a classic leadership position

The position offers great scope for design and short decision-making paths. You will take over an existing area with an experienced team and can further develop it with your ideas, your network and your personality.

Particularly interesting for candidates with long-term entrepreneurial ambitions: a later participation in the company is basically possible.

Tasks, competencies and responsibilities

As Head of the Heating Department, you bear the operational and technical responsibility for your area. You accompany projects from the first customer enquiry through planning and execution to billing and ensure that deadlines, quality and profitability are met.

You achieve this through:

• Leadership and coordination of the heating department
• Consultation and support of existing customers as well as maintenance of customer relationships
• Acquisition of new orders and active development of the customer base
• Preparation and calculation of quotations
• Planning and technical processing of heating projects
• Drawing and planning of heating systems
• Work preparation and scheduling of employees
• Coordination of materials, suppliers and project processes
• Project monitoring regarding deadlines, costs and quality
• Preparation and checking of invoices
• Close cooperation with management, customers, planners, architects and other project participants
• Overall responsibility and supervision for apprentices as well as conducting the corresponding discussions

Ideally, you have:

• A solid education in the heating sector and corresponding further training
• Several years of professional and project management experience in the heating industry
• Leadership experience or willingness to responsibly lead a well-coordinated team
• Sound technical knowledge in heating and building technology
• Good knowledge in planning and technical drawing, preferably with CAD Nova
• Experience in calculation, quotation management, work preparation, scheduling and billing
• A good network in the region and within the industry
• Enjoyment of customer contact, acquisition and building long-term business relationships
• A pronounced cost and quality awareness
• An independent, reliable and entrepreneurial way of working
