Apprenticeship as Health Specialist EFZ

The Seniorama Wiedikon Association is the sponsoring body of Seniorama Wiedikon and operates two retirement and nursing homes. The Seniorama Wiedikon Burstwiese and the Seniorama Wiedikon Im Tiergarten. Around 300 senior citizens are lovingly cared for and looked after around the clock, and 170 employees as well as around 20 volunteers engage in meaningful work.

From summer 2027, we are looking for a creative, motivated and humorous young person for the training as a Health Specialist EFZ at Seniorama Wiedikon

Your training with us

We offer you practical, varied and diverse training in a committed and motivated team. During your three-year training, you will gain insights into various areas of our institution and develop important professional and personal skills. As a Health Specialist EFZ, you accompany, support and care for our residents in their daily lives. Among other things, you take on:

• the care and nursing of our residents
• domestic tasks
• administrative and logistical activities
• medical-technical tasks
• support and accompaniment of elderly people in different life situations

An important part of your work is the respectful and appreciative interaction with our residents. You learn to perceive their needs, respond to them and support them in their independence. Since you work closely with residents, relatives and various professional groups, teamwork, communication and mutual respect are particularly important.

You can imagine working with and for elderly people and enjoy contact with people. In addition, you are characterised by the following qualities:

A secondary school A diploma is an advantage. For successful training, good commitment and motivation at vocational school are also important prerequisites.

Your future

With the successful completion as a Health Specialist EFZ, many exciting opportunities are open to you. For example, you can complete further training at a higher technical school and obtain the diploma as a certified nursing specialist HF. With a vocational baccalaureate, you also have the opportunity to subsequently begin studies at a university of applied sciences.
