The Barbara Keller Institution (IBK) supports people with disabilities in their development, independence, and quality of life. In our modern and bright house in Binz near Maur and in our beautiful old building in Küsnacht, we live, learn, and work together as a community. Our clients find a familial environment with us for a self-determined and independent life. We offer this internship as a training or pre-internship with a minimum duration of 6 months. During the internship, you will gain insight into working with people with intellectual disabilities. Daily, we accompany clients in the atelier, in three groups, during individual creative activities, movement offers, or musical occupations. The internship helps you to get to know a newly chosen career path or to apply learning content already acquired in training into practice.Your Profile
<ul> <li>You have interest and joy in working with people with disabilities</li> <li>Personal and social skills; especially responsibility and reliability are natural to you</li> <li>You are flexible and patient</li> <li>You are willing to reflect</li> <li>You are prepared to take on a few nursing measures</li> <li>Manual and creative skills are advantageous for the internship</li> <li>Completed vocational training (EFZ) or secondary school</li> </ul>
