The Municipality of Emmen is seeking, as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement due to a vacancy, a committed, service-oriented, and team-capable individual for the Directorate of Construction and Environment, in the Building Permits Department.

Building Permit Specialist 60-80% (a)

Here is where you can make an impact

• Advising builders and architects on planning, building law, and architectural matters
• Reviewing building applications in accordance with legal requirements
• Site inspections and construction controls on location
• Preparing decisions
• Assisting in the area of property management

What you bring

• Completed training as a draughtsperson specialising in architecture or an equivalent qualification
• Further training in the construction module or willingness to complete it
• An interested personality looking to build on experience or gain initial professional experience
• Good IT user skills (including Bluebeam, CAD) as well as knowledge of planning and building law
• Strong social and communication skills
