YOUR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Responsible expert for advising and supporting engineering, project management, and procurement throughout the entire project phase
- Preparation of product cost calculations (target costs, actual costs, goal costs) and development of calculation models and cost breakdowns
- Creation of business cases, make-or-buy analyses, and conducting scenario analyses
- Estimating the cost impact of design changes (Design-to-Cost) and advising development to find cost-optimal solutions (Design-to-Value)
- Responsibility for the technically correct design and development of mechanical assemblies inside and outside our vehicles, technical evaluation of components, manufacturing processes, and materials
- Creation, design, and preparation of production-ready documents (3D models, drawings, and parts lists) and technical specifications
- Conducting technical feasibility studies and concepts as well as developing solutions
- Cross-departmental and cross-site collaboration and exchange with other departments (e.g. production, purchasing, project management, approval, surface technology)
- Comparison of supplier offers with own cost analyses and support of our suppliers regarding technical questions
- Support of our production in the evaluation and initial use of new products
YOUR PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Completed technical education at university level (FH/University)
- Several years of professional experience in cost analysis and calculation advantageous
- Several years of professional experience in vehicle construction advantageous
- Good knowledge of a current 3D CAD system, preferably Catia V5
- Good knowledge of a current calculation software, preferably aPriori
- German language skills (level C1) and English language skills (level B2) spoken and written
- Knowledge in value analysis (Value Analysis / Value Engineering), Design-to-Cost, process cost accounting
- SAP, MS Office skills advantageous
