We’re looking for a Process Engineer – Software to design, develop, and optimize automation and test systems that power our production lines. In this role, you’ll combine your programming expertise with hands-on engineering to build smarter, faster, and more reliable systems.
Your responsibilities will be to:

Contribute to our ambitious goal of fully automating our factory, and help pave the way for the future of manufacturing innovation

Design, develop, and improve programs for advanced automation and testing systems with a focus on performance and reliability

Write, modify and optimize software for Beckhoff PLCs and LabVIEW testing stations

Perform in depth data analysis using SQL, Grafana and PowerBI
-
Create electrical and pneumatic layout schematics and create material lists in accordance with stock, delivery times and internal standards

Ensure documentation is current and accessible, including user manuals and error-handling protocols, to facilitate smooth operation and knowledge transfer

Conduct training sessions to equip operators, shift leaders and maintenance technicians with the skills to efficiently operate and manage machinery

Develop and implement strategies for cost reduction and continuous improvement, contributing to a leaner, more cost-effective production environment
Our requirements:
-
B.S. or M.S. degree in HES/EPF or in another related field

Ideally 5 to 10 years of experience with automated assembly and manufacturing machines for high volume production

Knowledge and experience in working with different software packages (e.g. PLCs, LabVIEW, Python)

In depth knowledge of electrical and control technology as well as basic knowledge of quality control processes

Fluent in English and good knowledge of either French or German

Capable of working as a part of the team as well as working independently

Flexible for occasional travel
