About the job
Coordinator in the "Mother Tongue Support" Project for Refugee Families with Young Children 40%Good for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the heart of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment. Within the framework of the Zurich Integration Agenda (IAZH), the district offices of Bülach and Dielsdorf have expanded their services. Mother tongue support persons, so-called "key persons", inform, accompany and network refugee families with preschool children and status S, N, F and B in the districts of Bülach and Dielsdorf to offers of early support that are of interest to them.
We are looking for a second coordinator (40%) for this important project to start immediately or by arrangement.
The position is initially limited until the end of 2027.
Your main tasks:
- Intake and coordination of families with "key persons"
- Accompanying initial visits to families, triage to third parties if necessary
- Making offers of early support known and coordinating them within families
- Personnel management and professional coaching of the "key persons"
- Project management: ensuring the use of tools, monitoring, reporting and planning
- Network management, related communication tasks and organisation of events
- Close collaboration with the existing project coordinator
You bring:
- Professional knowledge in the fields of migration, early support and child protection
- Experience in outreach work and an affinity for vulnerable families in the asylum sector
- University of applied sciences degree in social work or social pedagogy, Early Childhood Consultant HFP or equivalent qualification
- Experience in project management desirable
- High degree of independence, flexibility and social competence
- Willingness to work partly mobile in the districts of Bülach and Dielsdorf
