Introduction
The trial apprenticeship lasts 3 days. During this time, you will gain an in-depth insight into the activities that await you as a polymechanic. You will get to know your future colleagues and trainers and already gain some practical experience. Under the guidance of a trainee and the trainer, you will manufacture a pen holder.
Process
Day 1:
- Reception/Greeting
- Getting to know the trainer, employees, and trainees
- Review flyer "Training Otto Hofstetter AG"
- Safety instruction
- Understand process and project
- Get to know the workplace
- Process base plate made of aluminum on the milling/drilling machine
- Polish base plate
Day 2:
- Manufacture the aluminum can on the lathe
- Manufacture clamping pieces from brass
- Cut preforms to length
- Apply facets to the base plate
Day 3:
- Manufacture pen holder from aluminum
- Apply thread to the can
- Polish pen holder
- Assemble pen holder
- Company tour
- Final discussion / evaluation of the trial apprenticeship (if desired)
- Farewell
