Your working environment
The population is at the centre of the activities of the Department of Health and Social Affairs. We work sustainably and purposefully for the security of their living environments.
The Cantonal Social Service is responsible for public social assistance, asylum and refugee affairs as well as victim counselling and victim support. It is the appeals authority in the area of social assistance and supports municipalities in implementing their family and senior policies. In doing so, we work closely with other administrative offices, municipalities, other cantons, the federal government and third-party organisations.
