The Information Department produces numerous offerings for audio, video and SRF's digital channels. With versatile news and background formats as well as contextualising discussion and advice programmes on current events in politics, economy and society, SRF facilitates the audience's opinion formation – informative, competent and independent.
Intern Arena
What are your tasks?
The editorial team "Arena" offers an internship position from 8 February to 7 July 2027. We gladly accept your application until 15 November 2026.
During your internship, you will be involved in the following areas:
- As an intern of "Arena", you are closely involved in shaping a discussion on current topics from politics, economy and society.
- You write dossiers on current topics and draft press texts.
- You research facts and support the producer, editors and presenter in the production of the programme.
- On Fridays, you are present live during rehearsals and the broadcast.
What do you bring with you?
- You have a strong journalistic interest and preferably some initial journalistic experience.
- You bring a solid political background – especially regarding Swiss politics – and want to deepen your research.
- You can think quickly and in a networked way.
- You are flexible and communicative and keep a cool head even in hectic situations.
What can you look forward to?
- As an intern of "Arena", you dive deep into a political dossier every week and are very close to the political events.
- An exciting environment and insights into all relevant processes from planning to realisation of a discussion programme.
