To complete our team of the Geriatrics Service of the Regional Hospital of Lugano, we are looking for a

Psychotherapist (20%)

Profile:

The person we are looking for, on a fixed-term contract of 1 year, with the possibility of renewal on a permanent basis, has training and proven experience in clinical psychology and psychotherapy. They demonstrate, in particular, autonomy in conducting clinical interviews and diagnostic interventions, with a propensity for multidisciplinary work.

The psychotherapist role is able to diagnose and treat, according to the tools learned during the years of specialisation, the entire psychopathological spectrum (diagnostic criteria of DSM-V or ICD-11), integrating into the treatment the causal and maintaining factors of the disorder, providing support to the patient’s support network.

Necessary requirements:

• Master’s degree in psychology pursuant to articles 2 and 3 of the Federal Law on Psychological Professions (LPPsi).
• Federally recognised specialisation title in psychotherapy (Swiss training or recognition through PsiCo), meeting AOMS criteria for billing.
• Authorisation for free practice to perform the profession of psychotherapist, issued by the DSS of the Canton of Ticino.
• Registration with the Swiss Federation of Psychologists (FSP) or the Swiss Association of Psychotherapists (ASP) is recommended.
• Experience and interest in the geriatric-gerontological area.
• Strong aptitude for individual work and within a multidisciplinary team context.
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Italian and possibly a second national language.
• Essential knowledge of main IT tools (Office package).
• Knowledge of the territory and the social-health network of the Canton of Ticino.
