Polymechanic / Process Specialist Electron Beam Welding (m/f/d) 80–100 %

For the operation and further development of our electron beam welding system, we are seeking a technically skilled and responsible individual.

After thorough training, you will increasingly take over the operation, setup, and programming of our electron beam welding system independently. In addition to ongoing production, you will actively participate in the development and optimisation of welding processes.

Your tasks

- Setting up, equipping, and operating the electron beam welding system

- Preparing and positioning the components to be welded

- Creating, adjusting, and optimising welding programmes

- Defining and optimising process parameters such as beam power, focus position, welding speed, and beam guidance

- Conducting and documenting welding trials

- Collaborating in the development of new welding processes and applications

- Transitioning new processes from trials to stable series production

- Performing and documenting quality controls

- Assisting in the creation and maintenance of work and process instructions

- Identifying and resolving system and process malfunctions

- Collaborating with project management, quality assurance, and production

- Supporting maintenance and care of the system

Your profile

You have completed a technical vocational training, preferably as

- Polymechanic EFZ

- Production mechanic EFZ

- Plant and apparatus builder EFZ

- Precision or micromechanic

- Automation technician EFZ

- Welding specialist / IWS

or possess a comparable technical education.

Ideally, you already have experience with CNC-controlled machines, automated welding systems, laser welding, welding robots, or similar complex production systems.

Experience in electron beam welding is an advantage but not a requirement. Specific training in the process and our system will be provided by us.

You have a good technical understanding and an interest in manufacturing processes, materials, and welding technology.

Furthermore, you are characterised by:

- technical and analytical thinking skills

- good German skills, English skills are an advantage.
