Who are we?
The self-regulatory organisation of the Swiss Bar Association and the Swiss Notaries Association (SRO SAV/SNV) is a self-regulatory organisation recognised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA). It monitors compliance with the obligations under anti-money laundering legislation among the lawyers and notaries affiliated to it, insofar as they act as financial intermediaries or advisers under the AMLA.
The SRO SAV/SNV, active throughout Switzerland, is committed to targeted, efficient and industry-appropriate supervision. The Secretariat General in Bern consists of a small team of specialised staff.
To lead the Secretariat General of the SRO, we are looking for a
Managing Director 80% to 100% (m/f/d)
Your tasks are:
- You lead the Secretariat General in professional, personnel, organisational, administrative and financial matters in accordance with the statutes and the board's directives.
- You manage a motivated team of specialists and assistants.
- Together with your team, you form the hub of supervisory activities and support the President as well as the board and other bodies within the entire activity of the SRO.
- Together with the board, you maintain contacts with the relevant stakeholders of the SRO and other interest groups.
- You support the board in planning and monitoring the financial management of the SRO.
- You follow developments in financial market regulation and participate in interdisciplinary working groups on regulatory projects.
- You accompany and shape the organisational and digital development of the SRO.
- You have the opportunity to further develop your professional profile in the financial market and significantly expand your network.
- Through your expertise and personality, you can advance and shape the SRO and the Secretariat General in all aspects.
You bring with you:
- You have a university degree, preferably in law or economics, as well as several years of professional experience in a regulated environment. Postgraduate legal qualifications or a lawyer's or notary's licence are advantageous.
- You have initial leadership experience and know how to lead a small, qualified team clearly, reliably and appreciatively.
- You are familiar with Swiss anti-money laundering regulation. Experience at a supervisory authority or a self-regulatory organisation is an advantage.
- You think in networks, set priorities and reliably complete demanding tasks and projects.
- You appreciate being the hub with responsibility and great freedom in a lively organisation and see yourself as a proactive service provider in an exciting and constantly changing regulatory environment.
- You act with integrity, discretion and independently and enjoy working with the SRO bodies and the Secretariat General team.
- You have excellent command of German or French and very good knowledge of the other language.
