About the job
Finance & Controlling Specialist 70 - 100%The General Secretariat is the staff unit of the Education Directorate. Around 70 employees provide central services for the Director and the offices. The tasks of the Finance and Controlling sector include directorate controlling, the preparation of the Consolidated Development and Financial Plan (KEF) as well as the annual report with the financial statements (GB), the Internal Control System (IKS), financial consulting and the management of accounting for the General Secretariat and the University Office.
From mid-August or by arrangement, we are looking for a team-oriented and committed individual as a Finance & Controlling Specialist 70-100%.
Your area of responsibility
Your tasks include assisting in the preparation of the budget and the Consolidated Development and Financial Plan (KEF) as well as contributing to the annual financial statements with the annual report. You evaluate data, check and analyse it, and prepare target group-specific management information. You take on tasks within the Internal Control System (IKS) of the Education Directorate and in the context of other staff work. Preparing various accounts and evaluations as well as tasks related to accounting for the General Secretariat and the University Office are also part of your responsibilities.
Your profile
We are looking for an initiative and flexible individual with a university-level degree as a business economist, business administrator or expert in accounting and controlling (or equivalent qualification) with proven performance in finance and controlling, where experience in an administration is an advantage. An affinity for numbers, SAP and very good MS Office skills, especially Excel, are a matter of course for you. You are service-oriented and, in addition to professional skills, possess a confident manner and a high level of commitment. We expect fluent oral and written expression in German. If an independent, precise and systematic way of working is also one of your strengths, you will fit well into our team.
