About the job
We are Deutsche Bahn. Millions of passengers travel with us every day and we transport enormous quantities of goods – across Germany and neighbouring Europe. Too often, we also disappoint. That is why we are working intensively on a better railway. For this, we need power and you! We are one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we look for around 5,000 trainees in 50 different training professions who want to make the railway a little better with us every day. Join in: We offer you attractive benefits, a fixed contact person, and a great team by your side. And after successful training, you have excellent chances of being taken on!
This is what awaits you in your training:
- You work with your team outdoors on the construction sites on our tracks
- Together you lay new rails and points, check everything for damage, and replace broken parts
- With the help of modern machines, you renew the ballast under the tracks
- You pay close attention to all measurements – so that trains run smoothly and safely later on
- During your training as a rail track construction trainee, you are already an important part of the team and ensure every day that our trains run reliably
Your profile:
- You have (soon) successfully completed school and your school leaving certificate is recognised in Germany
- Your German language skills correspond to at least the B2 level
- Sitting at a desk is not for you – you prefer to work outdoors
- You are motivated and reliable
- You enjoy teamwork and like to get stuck in
- Different workplaces and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you
