Nursing services
The nursing rates of the canton of Nidwalden are listed in the following table:

The billing of nursing services is done in time units of 5 minutes, with a minimum billing per visit of 10 minutes.
The health insurance covers the following amounts:
KVG mandatory services from basic insurance
KLV-A Clarification and consultation

We bill the KVG mandatory services directly with your health insurer. You will receive a copy of this invoice for your information. Only the patient contribution will be charged to you.
Patient contribution and residual financing
(applies only to KVG mandatory services from basic insurance)
The patient contribution is a maximum of CHF 15.35 per day. This cost must be paid by the client themselves and is not covered by the health insurance.
For clients with tax residence in the canton of Nidwalden, the canton covers the
costs remaining after deducting the contribution of the health insurance and the patient contribution. The billing of the so-called residual financing is done directly by Spitex Nidwalden with the canton.
Clients with tax residence outside the canton are invoiced for the residual costs. The client can claim these from the municipality or canton of residence.

Household services and care
(Non-insurance-covered services)
Household services are provided based on a medical order. These services are not covered by the basic health insurance, so we invoice these services directly to you. However, if you have supplementary insurance with your health insurer, you can submit the household service reimbursement receipt along with the medical order there. The reimbursement amount depends on your
insurance coverage. Your health insurer will provide information.
For household services, an additional daily travel allowance is charged. It is income-dependent and ranges from CHF 5.00 to a maximum of CHF 10.00.

Notify us early if you change your health insurance.
Recipients of supplementary benefits can send the Spitex invoice to the compensation office for reimbursement.
