Chief ENT Consultant at 80-100%

The Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) Department provides diagnostic and therapeutic care for adult and paediatric patients presenting with ENT pathologies, both on an outpatient basis (6,000 visits across 2 sites) and inpatient (over 600 adult stays and approximately 200 paediatric stays per year). The department works closely with various medical and surgical specialties to offer high-level, patient-centred multidisciplinary care. It offers a stimulating environment to develop clinical and surgical skills, actively participate in the training of doctors, and contribute to the strategic management of the department.

Your responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the ENT department ensuring optimal patient care
• Conduct specialised consultations in ear, nose and throat medicine
• Manage outpatient and inpatient care in collaboration with the medical and nursing team
• Participate in surgical activities and patient care in the operating theatre
• Ensure organisation and coordination of care pathways in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Lead the medical and medico-economic activities of the department, ensuring quality and performance of services
• Supervise, support and unite the medical team around common objectives
• Participate in continuity of care and ENT on-call/duty service
• Collaborate with various medical and surgical specialties within multidisciplinary care frameworks
• Participate in and develop undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• Participate in and/or develop clinical research
• Contribute to the strategic development of the department, in liaison with the head of department and medical management

Your profile

• Swiss medical degree or foreign qualification recognised by MEBEKO
• FMH specialist title in ear, nose and throat medicine or equivalent foreign title recognised by MEBEKO
• Proven clinical and surgical experience in ENT, ideally as a senior physician with university clinic leadership experience
• Degrees and titles registered in the medical professions register (MedReg)
• Management training or strong interest in undertaking such training
• French language proficiency at B2 level, certified
