Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defence of the interests of the child.
Serving families in the canton, it operates through four main areas of action: child welfare , emergency reception , family support and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfil its mission, the institution manages 47 facilities across the Canton of Geneva, has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for qualified educators to accompany/support its various institutions through the Replacement Service.
Job Description
- Cover medium to long term staff absences
- Reinforce teams during work overload or particular situations
- Accompany and support beneficiaries living in residential homes with the interdisciplinary educational team
- Interventions with all populations (0 to 18 years) across the various structures for which the FOJ is responsible
- Work in an interdisciplinary team
- Support for parenting
- Close collaboration with placement services
- Irregular working hours
Contract type: Medium to long term fixed-term contract
Work rate: 80 to 100%
Salary scale: according to the State of Geneva pay scale

Qualifications
Training:
Bachelor in social work – University of Applied Sciences of Social Work (HETS), or
Qualified social educator – Higher School (ES), or
University Bachelor – FAPSE degree completed by one year of full-time professional practice in residential care or IGE, or
Bachelor in nursing
Foreign diplomas must imperatively have the final SEFRI recognition or an official equivalence.
Flexibility, mobility and strong adaptability, stress management.
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with initiative.
Good knowledge of the Geneva social network.
Good writing skills in French.
Additional Information
Must be Swiss nationality or hold a valid work permit.
