Strategic Buyer Global Indirect Procurement (all genders)
In this role, you will independently take on strategic procurement topics in the area of Global Indirect Procurement and be responsible for the commercial side of your projects. You can expect a diverse procurement environment – from services and development partners to plants, equipment, and consulting, as well as IT and software. At the same time, you will become part of our newly established Global Indirect Procurement team, where you can contribute your experience and ideas and actively help shape future structures, standards, and ways of working.
Your Role
- You take commercial responsibility for strategic procurement projects and manage them together with the specialist departments – from requirements and market analysis through supplier search, tendering, and offer evaluation to the development and implementation of negotiation strategies.
- You are responsible for independently conducting negotiations with suppliers and setting the commercial framework conditions regarding prices, terms, and contracts.
- You work closely with various specialist departments and stakeholders within Ivoclar – with a particular focus on our research and development at the headquarters in Schaan – and convincingly bring the commercial perspective of procurement into joint decisions.
- You develop suitable purchasing strategies for your topics and use market analyses, benchmarks, and tenders as needed to make alternatives, opportunities, and risks visible at an early stage.
- Creating transparency about costs and value drivers, jointly identifying savings and optimisation potentials with the specialist departments, and driving their implementation are part of your responsibilities.
- You contribute your experience and ideas to the further development of Global Indirect Procurement and support the global rollout of common processes, standards, and ways of working.
Your Profile
- A completed degree or a comparable commercial or technical qualification – further training in procurement is an advantage
- Several years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in indirect procurement or similarly complex procurement fields and an international environment
- Experience in independently preparing and conducting supplier negotiations as well as a strong commercial and analytical understanding
- An independent and structured way of working as well as enjoyment in taking responsibility and actively driving topics forward
- Experience with SAP, Coupa, or comparable systems is an advantage
- Fluent German and English skills for negotiation
