About the job
The Gebert Rüf Foundation is a private science and innovation foundation based in Basel. It supports forward-looking projects at the interface of science, entrepreneurship and society. Through its funding programmes and Kick initiatives, it helps young talents to implement their own business ideas and build successful startups. For the further development of our foundation communication, we are looking for a proactive, team-oriented personality with a sense for relevant topics, strong stories and effective formats.
Communications Officer
In this versatile role, you are responsible for the external communication of the Gebert Rüf Foundation (GRS), develop content for the website, newsletter and social media, support media and event work, and manage our digital communication channels. You regularly liaise with funding partners, programme managers, media and other stakeholders. With creativity, curiosity and strategic acumen, you also contribute to the further development of our positioning and visibility and support the communicative integration of the GRS into the Kick Foundation. In doing so, you actively shape the perception of the foundation and help to make its impact visible both internally and externally.
You have experience in communication, public relations or a related field and enjoy conveying complex content in an understandable way. You also know how to position topics and projects effectively and to strengthen the visibility of programmes, initiatives and brands in a targeted manner. As an independent, pragmatic and proactive personality, you like to get involved, coordinate various tasks reliably and actively develop communication further. You are interested in science, innovation and entrepreneurship and communicate confidently in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
You can expect a varied role with scope for creativity in a small team in the centre of Basel.
We look forward to receiving your complete application documents (PDF file).
