Adligenswil is an attractive municipality with around 5,600 inhabitants in the Lucerne agglomeration. Approximately 630 apprentices attend our school. The municipal and school library supports teachers and pupils in promoting reading. From 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed and proactive individual as<br/><h2>Your Tasks</h2><ul> <li>Planning, organisation and execution of class tours</li> <li>Library introductions for teachers</li> <li>Conducting activities to promote reading, e.g. Bookstar, Baobab book visits, author readings</li> <li>Advising and supporting teachers as well as pupils in media selection and integrating the library into lessons</li> <li>Administrative tasks, statistical surveys and regular exchange with the school management</li> <li>Participation in the lending operation with fixed deployment days, including Saturdays and during school holidays</li> <li>General customer advice, especially in the area of adult literature</li> <li>Assistance with library events, including evening events</li> <li>Involvement in public relations</li></ul><br/><h2>Your Profile</h2><ul> <li>Higher basic education</li> <li>Certificate course completion from Bibliosuisse or equivalent training as well as professional experience in library services</li> <li>Sound knowledge of children’s and youth literature as well as broad general education</li> <li>Basic knowledge of pedagogy, methodology and didactics</li> <li>Experience in dealing with pupils</li> <li>Good IT skills as well as media and information literacy</li> <li>Independent, structured and proactive working style</li> <li>Enjoyment in collaborating with teachers, children, young people and adults</li> <li>Good oral and written expression in German</li> <li>Willingness to work flexibly during school hours</li></ul>
