We are looking for a versatile personality for customer projects in the manufacturing industry. In addition to experience in embedded software development with C/C++, you bring knowledge of a second technology stack, preferably C#/.NET.

The focus is on connecting devices and controls with gateways, services and user-oriented applications. You combine technical knowledge in embedded software and application development with experience in IoT integration.

What to expect:

• Development and maintenance of embedded software in C/C++ for industrial products, controls, sensors, actuators and edge devices.

• Beyond device firmware, you develop configuration tools, desktop or web applications as well as services for device management, data processing and diagnostics.

• In networking devices, gateways and applications, you design data flows, APIs and communication patterns.

• You work across device, edge and application layers, define interfaces and solve integration problems.

• You contribute to software architecture and make pragmatic technology decisions with regard to reliability, maintainability, security and product requirements.

• You further develop automated tests and improve build, integration and release processes, if necessary also with hardware-related tests.

• You collaborate with customer engineers, product owners and interdisciplinary teams to translate manufacturing requirements into functioning software.

• You advise customers from the manufacturing industry on embedded, application and IoT solutions and implement these technically yourself.

What you bring:

• Completed studies in computer science or business informatics (ETH, FH, university or HF)

• You have gained practical experience in embedded software development with C/C++ – on microcontrollers, with embedded Linux or on comparable platforms.

• Additionally, you bring experience in application development, ideally with C#/.NET. Rust or other technologies are also welcome.

• Knowledge in networking devices, gateways and applications as well as handling interfaces and data flows.

• Confident handling of debugging, version control, code reviews, automated tests and continuous integration.

• The ability to explain technical possibilities clearly and to work closely with customers as well as software, hardware and product teams.

• You have very good German skills and good English skills.
