As Head of Quality (m/f/d), you bear overall responsibility for quality management and quality assurance along the entire value chain. You ensure that the highest standards in food safety, hygiene, and product quality are guaranteed, from raw material procurement to delivery. Together with your team, you ensure that our products are safe and meet our high-quality standards.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a
Head of Quality (m/f/d) 80–100%
- Strategic responsibility: You develop quality strategies with your team in line with the company goals of Wander. You have a clear compass for the highest quality and hygiene culture.
- Area responsibility: You lead quality management including food law/specifications and food control with chemical and microbiological laboratories along the entire value chain and continuously develop the QM system according to GFSI standards.
- Leadership & collaboration: You lead and develop the quality team, consisting of 16 employees, and work closely with all areas of the company Wander to ensure the highest standards.
- Audits & certifications: You are responsible for internal, external, and official audits, ensure compliance with national and international standards, and accompany certifications.
- Risk management: Together with your team, you make well-founded decisions and are responsible for risk management in your area.
- Stakeholder management: In collaboration with the team, you represent the company externally on quality issues, to contract manufacturers, in contacts with the group and our sister companies, as well as with associations and authorities.
- Education: A completed degree in food sciences, technology, food chemistry, or a comparable qualification.
- Professional experience: Several years of experience in quality management or quality control in the food industry, ideally in an SME environment.
- Standards & norms: Profound knowledge of relevant standards (GFSI and especially ISO 22000, ISO 9001) as well as international standards and label certifications.
- Audit & authority competence: Experience in risk-based audit management (internal and external) as well as dealing with certification bodies, customers, and authorities.
- Leadership & personality: You lead with clarity and organizational talent, make confident decisions even in demanding situations, and convince with a solution-oriented approach.
- Communication & language: Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form, combined with high communication skills and assertiveness.
