The SVA BL is the competence centre for social insurances in the canton of Basel-Landschaft. As an independent public-law enterprise, it fulfils a legal mandate and contributes to social security for the population and the economy of the canton.

For the Benefits Department of our IV office, we are looking immediately or by arrangement

a Lawyer (80 - 100 %)

What you will achieve

• Legal advice and support for the internal specialists of the Integration and Benefits Departments

• Legal review and approval of preliminary decisions, rulings and objection decisions

• Representation of the IV office in appeal proceedings before cantonal and federal courts

• You actively drive the implementation of professional and procedural innovations – from legal assessment through solution development to practical introduction.

• You take responsibility in departmental projects and ensure that ideas are actually implemented in everyday work.

What you bring

• Completed legal education, preferably with a lawyer's licence

• Professional experience, ideally in social insurance law

• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration with other professionals of the IV office and the Regional Medical Service (RAD)

• Negotiation skills and decisiveness

• Confident and correct formulation of texts and decisions

• Pragmatic, solution-oriented working style
