About the role and responsibilities
As a Sales Engineer Electrical Installation, you are responsible for selling electrical installation products (power distributors, switches, and sockets) in the B2B sector to electrical installers and planning engineers, thereby increasing sales volume and margins in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. You perform a hybrid role (field service and home office) and report to the Sales Manager Electrical Installations based in Baden (AG). You use your experience to build strategic, lasting customer relationships through excellent customer engagement. You are mainly responsible for: - Supporting electrical installers in your assigned sales region to drive profitable growth. - Building, acquiring, and establishing new customer relationships in the electrical installation sector and maintaining a positive customer experience throughout the sales process. - Collaborating with extended sales teams to explore new market opportunities. - Continuously maintaining data on your sales activities and project pipeline in the ABB CRM system (Salesforce). This position reports to the Sales Manager Electrical Installations.
Qualifications for the role
- Three (3) years of experience in sales and business development.
- In-depth knowledge of the electrical installer market and interest in building automation.
- A proven ability to build and manage customer relationships.
- A team-oriented, solution-focused approach with strong written and verbal communication skills in German.
- A vocational training/diploma in electrical engineering as an electrical installer or a university degree in electrical engineering.
- Valid Swiss category B driving license and a Swiss work permit.
- Very good knowledge of ERP and CRM software as well as Microsoft Office.
- Open, customer- and goal-oriented as well as structured and independent working style and team spirit.
