About the job
Your new role
In this position, you are responsible for the naturalisation process – from the submission of the application to the decision on the admission of the applicants. You competently advise and support interested parties and clients both orally and in writing. You examine incoming applications based on the legal provisions of citizenship law and make corresponding decisions. In addition, you independently conduct interviews with clients and prepare well-founded investigation reports for citizen communities and federal authorities. Conducting legal hearing procedures and issuing rulings in the event of a rejection are also part of your duties. In your daily work, you maintain close contact primarily with foreign clients, employers, private individuals, as well as various cantonal and federal authorities.
This position is for you if you
- have a commercial education, ideally in public administration.
- have professional experience in a municipal or city administration.
- approach people in a multicultural environment with empathy and your whole personality.
- work carefully and precisely.
- enjoy advising and can ideally express yourself in several languages.
- like working in a team, take responsibility independently, and remain committed even during times of high workload.
