About the job

You take pleasure in implementing professional and balanced catering for our residents and guests. You assist in shaping a regional cuisine with fresh products, monitor and enforce hygiene regulations, and contribute to a good working atmosphere. You are a team player, flexible and motivated. You have good interpersonal skills with elderly people, maintain a sensitive approach and possess high
social competence.

Your area of responsibility essentially consists of the following:

• Professional preparation of meals for our residents, guests and employees
• Implementation of the latest cooking methods and adherence to good manufacturing practice
• Willingness to take on an apprentice, support and accompany them until the qualification procedure
• Assuming responsibility and willingness to take daily responsibility in the absence of the head chef
• Management of kitchen and office staff during daily responsibility
• Support of the head chef with orders and stock management
• Compliance with the HACCP concept and occupational safety regulations

You bring the following:

• Completed training as a Cook EFZ
• Trainer course or willingness to complete / catch up on it
• Joy and pride in the profession, passion and enthusiasm for a pleasurable cuisine
• Neat appearance, good manners and a strong service mentality
• Independence, reliability and willingness to work shifts and weekends. Willingness as a floater to also take on assignments at short notice at all cura unita glarus locations
• Very good German language skills
