The Office for Municipalities and Civil Rights includes the general and financial supervision of municipalities and land registry matters, the implementation of the cantonal financial equalization, as well as the execution of naturalization, name change, and adoption procedures, and the implementation of overarching tasks in civil status matters. The team of the cantonal land registry supervision provides information, conducts supervisory audits, issues directives, and acts as the licensing authority in the area of property acquisition.
