Job Description
The University Dental Medicine Clinic (CUMD) is one of the three sections of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Geneva. Its main mission is to promote oral health among the population through teaching, research, and patient care.
To complete the CCAR team, the CUMD is looking for a
40% Dental Assistant
The main tasks of this position, under the supervision of the Operational Director of the CUMD clinics and/or the person responsible for the concerned clinics, are as follows:
- Welcoming and ensuring contact with patients
- Assisting practitioners (including students) of the CUMD at the chair, thereby supporting clinical teaching activities
- Maintaining the chair and equipment; ensuring the workflow with the company responsible for sterilising medical devices
- Performing various administrative and logistical tasks related to the role
Title and Required Skills
Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a dental assistant with authorisation to take radiographs
Practice rights in the canton of Geneva preferred
At least 1 year of experience working in a private dental practice or equivalent preferred
Experience working in a clinic preferred
Knowledge of common office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to use and manage specific IT tools
Good command of written and spoken French; oral knowledge of English preferred
This position requires the following specific skills:
- Ease in contact with patients and their relatives or companions
- Pedagogical skills
- Strong organisational ability
- A proactive and methodical attitude
- Ability to work in a complex clinical environment and strong team spirit
