Your entry – Welcome to the production zone:

As a plant operator at Kistler AG in Gommiswald, you are responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and operating partly complex and highly automated production systems. In production, you act as the point of contact for the operational staff of the production lines and bear great responsibility for personnel, machines, and products.

Your 3-year challenge with us:

During your apprenticeship, you will gradually take on responsibility in production.

Your mission:

• Set up and operate production systems
• Identify and resolve faults
• Monitor and optimise processes
• Ensure and control quality
• Be the contact person for employees in production

You ensure that machines, processes, and products work perfectly together.

What you need to enter the production arena:

• Attendance of the final year of secondary school or already completed with a good grade average
• Strong technical understanding
• Good performance in mathematics and physics
• Reliability, teamwork skills, and enjoyment of practical activities

Further information about the apprenticeship:

• Duration of training: 3 years
• School education: Block lessons; in the 1st and 2nd year of apprenticeship 10 weeks of 5 school days each; in the 3rd year of apprenticeship 9 weeks of 5 school days each; spread over the whole school year at the vocational school (Commercial Vocational School Chur / https://www.gbchur.ch )
