- The Threat Management and Violence Prevention Unit (MPV) carries out preventive work aimed at identifying, assessing and managing situations that indicate an increased risk of serious violent acts against the physical, psychological or sexual integrity of others. It also manages the Cantonal Threat Management Network (GCM), while training and raising awareness among the various actors in the canton.
Your main tasks consist of assessing risk situations using scientific instruments, defusing sensitive situations and working closely with all involved parties. As a scientific referent specialised in criminology, you are responsible for supervision, training, scientific monitoring and specific tools related to the MPV field. Furthermore, you conduct interviews with individuals assessed as potentially dangerous as well as with their targets, and ensure the follow-up of these situations. Finally, you provide operational support in criminal investigations of the bodily and sexual integrity police station.
Holder of a master’s degree in criminology, psychology or an equivalent qualification, you have experience in threat management or psychological assessment, and possess good knowledge of mental disorders.
You also hold the federal police officer certificate or an equivalent qualification. If not, you are willing to attend part of the basic police training courses at CIFPol in Colombier during your first year of activity in order to acquire the required skills.
Comfortable with integrating new technologies, you demonstrate relational intelligence and have strong analytical and synthesis skills.
You have good knowledge of a second language, ideally German or English (B2).
Swiss citizen or holder of a C permit, you also hold a driving licence (cat. B) and have a clean criminal record.
