Intern Specialist Office Sustainability Building Department

Do you want to deepen your knowledge in sustainable construction and help implement the measures of the cantonal climate and circular economy strategy? Then become part of our team in the Building Department of the Canton of Zurich. As client representatives, we are responsible for annual investment expenditures of around 500 million Swiss francs and take on a role model function in sustainable planning and construction.

Your tasks

• Co-design of specifications, e.g. for circular economy or life cycle assessment
• Support of project managers on topics such as biodiversity, heat reduction, and climate-adapted construction
• Evaluation of sustainability status reports and identification of improvement potentials
• Research on innovations in the field of sustainable construction
• Support in the preparation of presentations and decision-making bases

Your profile

• You have been studying architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, or environmental sciences (university, ETH, FH) for at least 6 semesters
• Intrinsic motivation for sustainable construction and climate protection
• Independent, structured, and responsible way of working
