The municipality of Seltisberg is an idyllic village with over 1,300 inhabitants in the canton of Basel-Landschaft, situated picturesquely above Liestal.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated, reliable, and resilient individual for a position starting January 2027 or by arrangement as

Specialist in Facility Maintenance EFZ (80–100%)

with enthusiasm for training apprentices

Your tasks

• Maintenance and care of public facilities, green and sports areas, school and playgrounds as well as the cemetery, including participation in funeral services
• Janitorial duties, cleaning and maintenance of municipal properties
• Versatile activities in all areas of property administration
• Maintenance of roads, field paths and bus stops (signage, lighting, cleaning, green and tree care etc.)
• Winter service including deployment planning
• Operation of the water supply and maintenance of wastewater facilities, assistance with pipe bursts and leak detection in coordination with the well master
• Supervision of the disposal site as well as the Robidog and refuse collection rounds
• Maintenance of the depot, vehicles, machines and tools
• Training and supervision of our apprentices specialising in facility maintenance
• Hub between depot and administration: annual work planning, budgeting, orders, coordination of external companies and support of smaller construction projects
• Assistance with cultural and sporting events
• Varied maintenance, renewal and repair work

Your profile

• Completed training as a Specialist in Facility Maintenance EFZ and several years of professional experience, ideally in a municipality
• Completed trainer course or willingness to attend one
• Experience in handling machines and equipment
• MS Office skills
• Independent, efficient and reliable working style, team spirit and enjoyment in contact with the public
• Willingness to work irregular hours and on-call duty, especially during winter service
• Driving licence category B (BE advantageous)
• Advantageous: residence in Seltisberg or surrounding area
