Your Activities
- Strategic procurement of goods, consumables, and services considering the public procurement law for the city administration as well as external clients according to the Logistics Regulation Bern
- Conducting public tenders for the assigned product groups
- Proactive and independent work in the area of product group, supplier, and stakeholder management
- Assisting in the establishment and development of the new purchasing organization
- Participation and leadership in cross-departmental projects and processes, e.g., in the area of sustainable procurement, process optimization, benchmarking, risk management, or cost analyses
Your Profile
- Several years of experience in strategic procurement (including public procurement law)
- Higher vocational school in business administration or equivalent qualification including additional training (at least or similar) to the federal diploma in purchasing or equivalent
- High service and customer orientation, precise, efficient, and responsible working style
- Confident handling of digital procurement tools and proficient use of MS Office applications (especially Excel analysis)
- Strong communication skills and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
