Trainee Journalism (a) 100%

• from March 2026, you will work for two years in various departments of the CH-Media editorial offices in Northwestern Switzerland (print & online, for example at Aargauer Zeitung, Limmattaler Zeitung, bz – Newspaper for the Basel region, Solothurner Zeitung, Grenchner Tagblatt, Oltner Tagblatt and Zofinger Tagblatt)
• you will get to know the entire range of journalistic work and simultaneously complete the journalism diploma training at the MAZ Media Training Center
• you will explore exciting topics with the help of your curiosity
• you will fully immerse yourself in a region and report in all journalistic forms "digital first"
• you will gain experience in the various departments of the CH-Media editorial offices, at the online desk, and depending on the possibility, in a main department

• you want to become a journalist and are ready to work towards it with passion and commitment
• you can show initial journalistic experience, enjoy researching, are creative, and have ideas for stories
• you know that journalism is not activism – and that CH Media practices journalism
• you approach people openly, think of the readers in your reporting and not your "bubble"
• you have completed education at university / university of applied sciences level or high school / vocational training and are willing to work at the various locations in the Northwestern Switzerland region
• you have very good German skills and broad general knowledge and are interested in events in the world, in Switzerland, and in your region
