Job Description
ICBC Zurich is seeking an execution-focused Trade Finance & Corporate Banking Specialist to support the day-to-day transaction processing and general client service for Swiss multinational corporate clients (including commodity traders). The role combines hands-on operational responsibilities in trade finance and loan administration with financial analysis, report drafting, and cross-functional cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Execution & Monitoring: Execute and monitor trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit (L/Cs), SBLCs, guarantees, collections, and payments;
- Loan Administration: Assist in corporate loan operations, including internal system processing and coordination with external counterparties;
- Financial Analysis & Credit Support: Conduct financial analysis and support the preparation of credit applications reports;
- Client Service Support: Support day-to-day corporate client service requests, manage routine client communication, and assist Relationship Managers with account maintenance;
- Compliance & KYC: Perform compliance and KYC-related checks in close coordination with the Compliance Department to ensure alignment with Swiss regulatory standards;
- Process Improvement: Contribute to internal process optimization and automation initiatives within the department;
- General Department Support: Implement internal policies and procedures, as well as handle report drafting and other tasks assigned by the Department management.
Required Skills, Experiences and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or other related fields;
- 2 - 4 years of experience in trade finance operations, loan administration, or banking middle office;
- Understanding of trade finance instruments and/or syndicated loan mechanics;
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision;
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage multiple transactions under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
- Hands-on, reliable, and execution-focused mindset with a structured working style;
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multicultural environment and foster a culture of cooperation and knowledge sharing;
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German and/or French is a distinct advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in commodity trade finance transactions;
- Exposure to syndicated loan execution and administration.
