The Culture Department is responsible for implementing the city’s cultural policy. We promote a diverse and independent cultural offering that is available to the entire population and advocate for good framework conditions for the cultural sector. The area of expertise in cultural promotion is the contact point for cultural creators and cultural organisers.

Your tasks

• Managing the city budget in the area of cultural promotion (budgeting and accounting)
• Processing funding applications from cultural creators and cultural institutions
• Supporting cultural institutions within institutionalised funding
• Conceptual work in the area of cultural promotion, further developing the funding strategy and funding structures
• Implementing cultural policy guidelines, participating in cultural policy committees
• Supporting the city cultural commission, sitting with an advisory vote, preparing and following up on matters
• Collaborating on the development of foundations for the city cultural commission, city administration and city council
• Public relations and active network maintenance

Your profile

• University degree in a culture-related field and/or equivalent further training in culture and/or project management
• Proven expertise and several years of experience in cultural promotion, administrative experience an advantage
• Experience in budgeting and accounting as well as project management
• Experience in the cultural sector, strong interest in cultural policy
• High communication skills, experience in networking
• High flexibility (weekend and evening work), proactive, structured and solution-oriented working style
