The Traffic Unit (EG-Traffic) is part of the Winterthur city police and ensures safety on our roads day and night. Working in traffic police requires flexibility, resilience, and a high level of responsibility. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a policewoman or policeman with experience and enthusiasm for traffic police operations, starting immediately or by arrangement.Your Tasks
- Patrol service with radio patrol vehicles and service motorcycles
- Control of stationary and moving traffic
- Conducting traffic police focus controls
- Specialist responsibility in various topics
- Intervention in disturbances and conflicts in the traffic area and additionally supporting other police services as needed
Your Profile
- Completed training as a police officer with federal diploma or certificate
- Solid interest in traffic police topics
- Strong social and communication skills as well as a confident and correct appearance
- Resilience in physical and psychological terms
- Enjoyment in contact with people from diverse backgrounds and life realities
What We Offer
- 24/7 shift operation according to a clearly structured rotation model: Four consecutive working days followed by four days off. The shifts last 12 hours each and are divided into two day shifts followed by two night shifts
