You are responsible for the strategic orientation of purchasing and lead your team both in terms of personnel and expertise. As a central interface between the divisions Cement, Concrete, Altola and Vigier Rail as well as the parent company Vicat, you ensure that the procurement strategy is consistently aligned with the operational business objectives and sustainably creates added value. In doing so, you actively drive the continuous optimisation and strategic further development of purchasing.

• Strategic business partnering in investment decisions (CAPEX) and outsourcing issues
• Leadership, coaching and targeted development of the purchasing team
• Management and further development of purchasing strategies, processes and framework agreements across all divisions
• Analysis of procurement markets, savings potentials and supplier risks as well as target-group-oriented reporting to management
• Ensuring the early involvement of purchasing in investment and procurement projects
• Close cooperation with engineering, production and plants as well as taking on a bridging function between technical and commercial requirements
• Utilisation of synergies through volume bundling and standardisation as well as active cooperation with the parent company VICAT

What you bringexpand_more

• Degree as industrial engineer or technical degree with business management further training
• Further training in supply chain management is an advantage
• Several years of leadership experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in industry or the construction materials sector
• Experience in complex investment projects as well as pronounced skills in stakeholder management
• Negotiation fluent in German and French as well as very good English skills
• High technical affinity, entrepreneurial thinking and structured working method
