The Office for Labour (AFA) strengthens the economic and employment location Zurich – with around 800 employees at over 20 locations.
In the Unemployment Insurance Department (ALV / KAST), we ensure that the Federal Act on Mandatory Unemployment Insurance and Insolvency Compensation is implemented uniformly and fairly in the canton of Zurich.
Your tasks:
- Independent processing of short-time work pre-registrations and waiver requests for short-time work compensation recoveries
- Independent processing of bad weather notifications
- Independent handling of diverse insurance cases (sanctions & decisions regarding entitlement) based on the relevant legal foundations
- Drafting of appealable decisions
- Obtaining relevant documents and conducting interviews with insured persons and employers
- Contact with insured persons, employers, unemployment insurance funds, Regional Employment Centres (RAV) and other internal and external bodies
- Managing the KAE hotline
Your profile:
- Completed 3-year commercial basic training or an equivalent qualification
- At least three years of professional experience in a qualified administrative role in the (social) insurance environment
- Completed further training in social insurance is an advantage
- Very proficient user knowledge of MS Office
- Confident command of the German language (spoken and written)
- Skilled interaction with various stakeholders
- Logical-analytical thinking and an efficient working style
