Automation Engineer Focus Network & Firewall Automation (m/f)

Your area of responsibility

• As an Automation Engineer, you are an important part of the automation & monitoring team and responsible for the conception and implementation of automated IT processes
• In customer projects, you support the setup, further development and operation of automations in network and firewall infrastructures (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Check Point)
• You are the contact person for customers and help to plan and implement modern network automation and security architectures (Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps, CI/CD for network)
• In smaller projects, you work independently or are called upon together with the team for larger ones
• You work closely with experts from the network and security departments
• In expanding the department, we rely on your expertise and you can actively influence the development
• Participation in the conception of solutions & services for ITRIS One
• The customer and their added value are your top priority in your work

Your profile

• You have vocational training in the field of computer science or an equivalent education or further training
• Solid experience in IT automation, scripting and DevOps practices and enthusiasm to dive into the world of networks and firewalls
• Ideally knowledge of network automation tools (e.g. Ansible)
• You are familiar with Python or willing to learn it. Experience with REST APIs and network SDKs is a plus
• Linux basics and a basic understanding of IT processes complete your profile
• Service-oriented thinking and teamwork suit you
• You enjoy dealing with customers
• You are interested in training/continuing education and willing to familiarise yourself with new areas
• The "looking beyond the horizon" inspires you
• German and English spoken and written are no problem
• You can also independently realise projects at a high level
• You have a category B driving licence and are flexible for our customer assignments in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
