Ensuring electricity in Switzerland

In this key position, you are responsible for the financial management of Swissgrid. You lead the Finance & Energy Data division. Together with your management team, you are responsible for transparent, compliant, and future-oriented financial management as well as energy data management and energy industry billing. As a sparring partner to the executive management, you operate in a demanding regulatory environment. You work closely with internal and external stakeholders and represent Swissgrid at national and international levels.

Your responsibilities and tasks include in particular:

Financial management, planning, and target-group-oriented reporting

Ensuring energy data management and energy industry billing in accordance with regulatory requirements and contractual provisions

Conducting strategy controlling and reporting on the achievement of corporate goals

Preparation of the annual report and financial statements according to Swiss GAAP FER, OR and regulatory accounting as well as compliance with regulatory and accounting requirements

Leadership and further development of the Finance & Energy Data department with the four areas of Accounting, Controlling, Energy Data Systems & Settlement, and Balancing & Capacity Settlement

Representing Swissgrid's interests towards authorities, industry partners, and committees

Introduction and promotion of the targeted use of modern technologies and AI-based solutions for process automation as well as for data-driven insights, forecasts, scenarios, and recommendations for action

You are an integral and convincing leader with pronounced entrepreneurial and strategic thinking skills as well as sound business management understanding. You quickly analyse complex contexts, bring together different interests, and develop sustainable solutions considering economic, ecological, and social aspects. With your communicative strength, you build trust and know how to win people over for common goals.

You bring the following:

University degree (Master's) in Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable field as well as advanced training in the financial sector

Several years of leadership and professional experience in a demanding financial function

Sound knowledge in Financial Accounting, Controlling, and financial corporate management

Experience in a regulated environment as well as in the successful implementation of complex projects

High affinity for the use of modern IT technologies and experience in the use of AI-based solutions for process automation and data-driven corporate management

Pragmatism, decisiveness, and a pronounced hands-on mentality

Analytical sharpness, strategic thinking ability, and convincing communication skills
