The Herzogenbuchsee school combines kindergarten and primary school in the centre of Oberaargau. Thanks to its location on the important transport axis between Bern and Olten, it is easily accessible and cares for children from Herzogenbuchsee and Niederönz from kindergarten to 6th grade. Currently, around 760 pupils attend the five school and kindergarten locations, where they are supported by a dedicated and versatile team of teachers. In addition to regular lessons, the school also organises speech therapy and psychomotor offers for the surrounding schools in the region.

Tasks
As reinforcement for our school’s own Time Out solution "Insel" we are looking for you! In the Insel, children from kindergarten to 6th grade are taught and individually supported for a certain period so that they can approach reintegration into their regular class well prepared. You teach four lessons each on Tuesday and Friday mornings. In the first two lessons, individual subject learning goals are worked on, and in the second half of the morning, individual cross-curricular competences are developed.
There is the possibility to supplement the workload with additional lessons in regular classes.
Requirements
- You have training as a special needs educator or are completing it
- or you have training as a Cycle 2 or Cycle 1 teacher and plan to study to become a special needs educator
- You enjoy working in a team and communicate on equal terms with teachers and parents
