Job Purpose / Reason for the Position:
The senior laboratory technician must be an expert in their field of activity and/or for a specific technique, while performing laboratory work independently. They will need to promote innovation, ensure technological monitoring, and contribute to its implementation. Acting as a technical reference and participating in investment projects in laboratory equipment is an integral part of their role.
Responsibilities
- Manage a piece of equipment or a set of equipment (maintenance, repair, user training, and/or investment proposal within the framework of projects).
- Ensure the development and implementation, in the laboratory, of new technologies, organic synthesis routes, or techniques in the laboratory.
- Harmonize working methods in the different activity sectors of the department.
- Conscientiously perform tasks requiring specific knowledge and be a visible expert in their field of activity.
- Know how to independently research the necessary information (e.g., in literature or from specialists) to accomplish their tasks.
- Contribute to the technical development of colleagues.
- Update and develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and user manuals.

- Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a chemical laboratory technician or equivalent
- In-depth knowledge of hygiene, safety, environment, and quality rules in the laboratory.
- Spoken and written English is an asset
- Strong experience in a laboratory technician role
- Technical expertise in one or more activity areas such as organic synthesis or analytical chemistry
- Ease in written and oral communication
