About the job

As a Performance Engineer (m/f/d), you ensure that our applications meet the defined requirements for efficiency, performance, and stability. You develop and automate technical tests, execute them under realistic load scenarios, and specifically analyse the systems' behaviour for weaknesses and risks. In doing so, you combine software development, test automation, and technical quality understanding, creating a reliable basis for the further development of our products with well-founded test results.

What you achieve

Load & Performance Testing

Validating the non-functional requirements regarding efficiency, performance, and stability

Designing and building suitable load and performance tests based on the defined requirements

Identifying and assessing potential technical risks and performance bottlenecks within the platform

Coordinating the test scope and test scenarios with architecture, product owners, and product management

Test Automation & Execution

Developing and maintaining test scripts as well as automated test scenarios

Planning, preparing, and conducting load and performance tests

Using appropriate test, monitoring, and analysis tools to verify system behaviour

Ensuring a structured, reproducible, and comprehensible test execution

Analysis & Collaboration

Analysing and evaluating test results as well as identifying relevant deviations and weaknesses

Coordinating findings with product owners, product management, and architecture, and recording relevant deviations as defects

Creating meaningful test reports and presenting the results, findings, and technical risks

Supporting root cause analysis and classifying identified performance and stability issues

Close collaboration with architecture, product management, as well as solution architects and product owners of our partners

Why you succeed

Completed higher education (FH/University) in computer science or a comparable field

ISTQB Foundation Level certification

Experience in software development and test automation

Practical experience in load & performance testing

Solid technical understanding of complex IT products, applications, and system landscapes

Confident handling of load & performance tools such as Artillery or comparable solutions

Knowledge of monitoring and platform technologies such as Splunk, Grafana, and OpenShift

Experience with development and automation tools such as Git and Playwright or comparable technologies

Strong analytical skills and enjoyment in systematically investigating technical contexts and performance issues

Structured and independent working style as well as a high quality awareness

Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with technical and professional stakeholders

Very good German language skills in spoken and written form
