About the job
The special needs day school of the Nathalie Foundation supports and cares for children and young people with complex developmental disorders (multiple disabilities, perceptual disorders and autism spectrum disorders). The offer includes 17 classes spread across all 3 cycles. We are looking for a co-headteacher at 50-60% from February 2027.
In this role, you will shape the future of the Nathalie Foundation's special needs day school together with the current headteacher and face new challenges with the entire HPS team. You will share responsibility for 72 children and young people and an interdisciplinary team of around 85 employees.
You want to engage with these topics:
- You are interested in (special) educational questions
- You have no qualms about conducting pleasant and unpleasant personnel discussions
- You enjoy developing new things together with the teachers
- Chaotic days turn into structured processes with your help
- School development at the Nathalie Foundation has two sides: on the one hand, you want the best school for our clientele, and on the other, you understand the school as a part of the Nathalie Foundation
We meet:
- In a lively, varied and demanding working day
- With humour and appreciation
- As a committed interdisciplinary team with a supportive director and sponsor
- Openly and maintain an honest, trust-based professional and personal exchange
- As independent, flexible personalities who show humour, have empathy and want to work in a team
You bring:
- A completed training in clinical or school special education
- A wealth of experience working with children and young people with complex developmental disorders (multiple disabilities, perceptual organisation disorders and autism spectrum disorders)
- An advanced training in one of our 3 educational pillars (Affolter, TEACCH or UK) or the desire to undertake such training
- A DAS "School Leadership" or the willingness to acquire the certificate alongside work
- A bouquet of experience in leadership, school development and quality management or at least a few flowers thereof
Employment and salary are within the framework of our personnel regulations in accordance with cantonal guidelines.
