To strengthen our transport department at the Schönbühl location, we are looking for a proven leader as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement for the position of

Head of Transport

In this key position, you will take overall responsibility for our transport department with a fleet of seven vehicles (3.5 t) and two trailers. You will lead a team of 14 employees at adapted workplaces as well as up to five apprentices and will be supported by an additional transport specialist. Together, you ensure an economical, efficient and customer-oriented transport operation.

Leadership and further development of the transport department in collaboration with a transport specialist – Professional and personnel management, promotion and development of 14 employees and 5 apprentices who face particular challenges due to psychological reasons – Ensuring efficient deployment and route planning as well as an economical transport operation – Responsibility for the vehicle fleet, including maintenance, servicing planning and operational safety – Optimisation of processes and ensuring compliance with quality, safety and occupational health regulations – Recruitment, induction and further development of employees – Responsibility for key figures, budget and costs in the transport department

This is what you bring

Completed vocational training in the transport or logistics sector – Recognised qualification as a trainer or willingness to complete the corresponding further training – Further training in leadership, transport or logistics is an advantage – Several years of professional experience in the transport or logistics environment – Experience in social pedagogy is an advantage – High self- and social competence as well as empathy in dealing with people who are particularly challenged – Proven leadership experience and enjoyment in staff development – Organisational talent, assertiveness and entrepreneurial thinking – Driving licence category B (additional categories are an advantage)
