The Foundation for the operation of homes for the elderly La Vespérale, founded in 1977, is a public law non-profit Foundation. It manages two Residences, La Poterie (73 residents) and Les Arénières (86 residents). The La Vespérale Foundation strives to create a respectful living environment for the residents, who are at the heart of the institution's mission.

The La Vespérale Foundation is looking for the Arénières site:

NURSING ASSISTANTS at 80%

Main mission:

• Implementation of personalised support plans for residents
• Nursing care: personal hygiene care, assistance and supervision during meals, etc.
• Maintaining mobility and use of available auxiliary aids
• Cleaning and disinfecting the resident's immediate environment
• Management of medical and incontinence supplies
• Accompanying residents in certain leisure activities (walks, shopping, etc.)
• Writing reports in the resident's electronic file

Required qualities

• Courtesy, ease in contact, empathy and understanding of elderly people
• Ability to work in a team and interdisciplinarity
• Organisational skills and flexibility in working hours
• Rigour, respect for procedures and sense of priorities
• Sense of hygiene and cleanliness

Desired profile

Desired profile:

• Red Cross Health Auxiliary Certificate or other equivalent qualification
• Minimum one year experience (excluding internships) in a similar position in geriatrics and/or psychogeriatrics in Geneva and/or Switzerland
• Flexibility and availability: day work with split shifts, 12-hour shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays
• Knowledge of the Sadies programme
• Fluency in French, both spoken and written
