About the job
The Planning and Projects division of the Civil Engineering Office includes the specialist areas of Traffic and Roads, Settlement Drainage and Watercourses, Road Inspection, as well as Urban Greenery. The specialist areas are committed to a sustainable and future-oriented infrastructure for the city of Thun.
We are looking for a
Your tasks:
- You design and implement infrastructure projects in the area of settlement drainage, sewerage and watercourses and take on project and construction management
- You further develop sustainable solutions in the areas of sponge city, settlement drainage and watercourses
- You process and maintain data on settlement drainage and watercourses in GIS and database systems and develop the preservation of infrastructure value
- You assess building applications and ensure compliance with water protection regulations
- You collaborate with internal specialist departments, engineering offices, authorities and utility owners
- You prepare technical foundations and contribute to regulations, budgets and political matters
You bring with you:
- Training as a civil engineer, HF civil engineering technician, draughtsperson specialising in civil engineering, geomatician or comparable qualification
- Experience in the field of settlement drainage, civil engineering and municipal infrastructure
- Interest in GIS, database and infrastructure management systems
- Understanding of the preservation and further development of infrastructure facilities
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
- Experience in project management or construction management is an advantage
