Head of Engineering with Prospects, Member of the Executive Board (m/f/d)

About the job

On behalf of a successful Swiss SME in mechanical and plant engineering, we are filling a key position in engineering. We are looking for a technically skilled leader who wishes to contribute their experience both in design and in leading an interdisciplinary engineering team. 

In this role, you will lead the mechanical and electrical engineering department, actively work in design, and play a decisive role in the technical development of the company. 

Your tasks

• Technical and personnel management of the mechanical and electrical engineering and technical documentation departments with a total of 6 employees
• Active participation in the design of machines and plants
• Development of machines, assemblies and customer-specific solutions in 3D-CAD
• Project management and order processing of international customer projects
• Ensuring compliance with machinery directives, standards and international regulations
• Coordination and prioritisation of engineering projects
• Support and further development of employees in engineering
• Close cooperation with production, project management and other internal departments
• Participation in the continuous development of processes, standards and technologies

Your profile

• Completed training as a draftsman EFZ or comparable qualification
• Further education at HF/FH level is an advantage
• Several years of experience in international mechanical or plant engineering
• Leadership experience or strong potential to successfully lead an engineering team
• Solid knowledge of 3D-CAD, ideally Autodesk Inventor
• Experience with machinery directives, standards and technical regulations
• Very good German and English skills
• Entrepreneurially minded, communicative and assertive personality
• Enjoys taking responsibility while also contributing constructively
